# Bank Feed | Introduction

> Introduction to Atoa Bank Feed: securely retrieve customer bank account details, balances and transactions via Open Banking.

**Bank Feed** is a standalone product that gives your platform secure, consented access to **bank account** data—including balances, transactions, and account metadata. It is designed purely for **data access**, not money movement.

## Bank Feed capabilities

* **Reconciliation**: Match incoming payments against customer bank statements

* **Cash Flow Insights**: Analyze inflows, outflows, and spending patterns

* **Payer/Payee Matching**: Extract and compare names, references, and notes to accurately identify transaction parties

* **Account Matching**: Fetch sort code and account number to link user accounts

* **ERP & Dealer Systems**: Sync verified bank data with your internal tools

## How It Works

Users connect their bank account through a **secure consent flow**. Once authorized, you can fetch their transaction history and account details using Atoa's API. Consent is valid for 90 days and can be renewed or revoked at any time.
